This was the last project in the UX course and the assignment was to create an app for social good. I decided to create an application to locate local cemeteries because of the lack of resources available to those who have lost loved ones. TOMBRATER makes the process of finding cemeteries and saving them simple.

The Problem
There are so many cemeteries to choose from. Users would like to see a brief sumary of each cemetery along with key features like is there a view, is it shady/sunny, what type of area is it in (rural or industrial). They would also like to see ratings of each cemetery, giving them a peice of mind that they are making the right choice for their loved one.
The Goal
Build a simple app where the user can enter their location and from there see a map/list of cemeteries in that area. They then can click on a cemetery to see more information and if they like that cemetery they can choose the heart to save it.
User Research
I conducted an unmoderated remote usability study with seven participants.
Goal
Before conducting interviews I researched different cemeteries and used common things they all had on their websites to develop an app for users. I made sure that the users who were going through the interview process had prior experience booking a cemetery. Most users shared that they would like the experience to be simple and straightforward.
Personal Problem Statement
Louis is a grieving grandson who needs to book a cemetery because his grandmother passed away.
Competitive Audit
The goal of this competitive audit was to find websites/apps where you can find local cemeteries easily which matches the goal of the tombrater site. Competitors #1 and #2 are direct competitors as they are cemetery based locators. #3 is a camp site locator but I liked their app and mapping capabilities so I wanted to include some of their designs in mine.

Hi-Fi Prototype
The High fidelity prototype flow is the same flow as the low fidelity prototype with additional design features and buttons.
Next Steps
Clean up the Hi-Fi prototype a little bit and make it look a little nicer
Conduct research on how this app is doing compared to others
